Progressive/Hard Rock band Headless are thrilled to announce the release of their new single and music video, 'Weightless', available on all streaming and download platforms.

Headless, back with new single and video 'Weightless'Weightless' is the first track taken from the group's upcoming album, 'Transitional Objects', which will be released in the summer of 2025. The single, mastered by Ted Jensen ( Dream Theater , Metallica ), perfectly expresses Headless 's distinctive sound, characterized by intricate guitar constructions, dynamic rhythms and irresistible melodies. The accompanying animated video, directed by Dime Stamenov ( Sabaron , Uriah Heep , Saxon ), visually captures the song's themes, mirroring the energy and emotion that flows within.
Walter Cianciusi, the band's guitarist, explains the song as follows: " This single brings a whole new level of complexity. It's definitely a hyper-prog song, with the rhythm section creating an incredibly detailed texture, at the limit of what a human being can perform. At the same time, the vocal melody is fluid and engaging, with lyrics that talk about the growing bond between father and son. "
On the direction of the album, he adds: “ The whole album is a heavy, no-frills work, 8 solid, prog songs that represent the absolute peak of Headless’ career. This time we achieved a magical chemistry, an unexpected craftsmanship that will probably remain unmatched in future Headless releases. ”
'Weightless' reflects the band's evolution and offers a glimpse of what fans can expect from ' Transitional Objects', blending elements of traditional Hard Rock, AOR and Progressive Rock/Metal.
A strong point of Headless are the melodic and emotional vocal harmonies of Swedish singer Göran Edman , whose talent has been known for years from his collaborations with artists such as Yngwie Malmsteen , John Norum , Vinnie Vincent and the bands Madison , Swedish Erotica , Glory , Karmakanic , and others. Edman, appreciated by true connoisseurs but too often underestimated, finally returns to the band for the new album.
